Balta Group & Finsiders, a flexible collaboration

Following an acquisition of one of Balta Group's business units to UK-based Victoria, the teams were completely restructured. As part of these restructurings, Balta came to Finsiders for temporary support. We dive into the contributions of Jonathan Crehel (30) and Sharon Law (27) to this challenging project.

Rapid Support

At the end of 2021, Balta Rugs, Residential polypropylene and Non-Woven business, along with the Balta brand was sold to UK-based Victoria. This deal caused major changes in the teams and their responsibilities. In order to ensure continuity of operations, Balta engaged Finsiders. After a thorough analysis it appeared that support was mainly needed in the area of GL & AP/AR Accounting. A few days later the project had already started under the wings of the experienced GL Accountant Jonathan and Sharon supporting the AP/AR team.

Smooth onboarding

The onboarding of both finsiders went smoothly thanks to the good communication and ample coaching. Jonathan was quickly up & running to provide support on GL Accounting. During the project his tasks evolved continuously. Originally his focus was mainly on closing and preparing the annual accounts, but later he added corporate tax. Jonathan looks back on his first period at Balta with a positive outlook. "The cooperation is very open and friendly. Balta also has a lot of confidence in the people of Finsiders, which feels very nice to me".

Close and flexible collaboration

Working with consultants has the advantage of creating additional flexibility. Especially in times of change and restructuring within a company, this is a great added value. This is how Sharon was deployed to support the AP/AR department. Sharon is very satisfied with her project: "The cooperation between Finsiders and Balta runs very smoothly thanks to the open communication. Everyone is very pleasant to deal with and open to help, which made me feel immediately welcome and integrated in the team". In the near future, Sharon will move to the new Balta (under Victoria). Her range of tasks will also evolve further, but thanks to the Finsiders Academy and the personal coaching of our experts, together we ensure that every project remains exciting and is completed successfully.
